While we are gone on Abby’s Make A Wish trip, I still want to post on the blog but I’ll do short posts instead of long ones. I would love to answer some questions for you since they are usually great for short quick posts.

What questions do you have about faith, the Bible, the Christian life, God, heaven, spiritual growth or anything that matters eternally?

You would be doing me a big favor if you could leave question or two. It would give me something to write about without having to develop longer instruction-type content.

Blessings!

~Brent

Thank you, thank you, thank you — Amen and amen!
I have known so many wonderful, faithful saints who have been taught and ardently believe in their right to be healed by the stripes that Jesus suffered. The trouble I have always had with it is that they tend to chastise (in a well intentioned way) others and themselves for not having enough faith when they are not experiencing the healing promised them if only they believe.

My precious Mother-in-law’s home was filled with books declaring our right to be healed and how to tap in to the promise of healing. All the while her aging body continued with the process of decay. Now that she stands in the presence of her Almighty King, all the praying and believing for healing means nothing. Our hope is in our promised eternity in the glorious presence in our Creator, not in spiritual machinations that cause us to hoop jump through faith to achieve wellness on earth.

Thank you, Brent, for searching out (rather than picking out) scripture to clarify the Word of God.

Folks think I don’t believe in “healing” when I teach the truth about these verses, and when I teach the truth about the false teaching of “the divine right to perfect health”. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I believe God can and does heal… in HIS way, HIS timing. Not ours. Not with our coercion through “spiritual laws” or “faith in our faith”. Anyone who simply takes an HONEST look at the true results and nature of the so-called “healing” that takes place today with the televangelists and self-proclaimed “healers” quickly sees the GIMMICK that it really is. God does heal today, when/where/how HE chooses… not when some charlatan on TBN gets your money, or some “faith healer” points his “holy spirit gun” at you…..
