2 Corinthians 1:21 (NKJV) Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God,
For those in Christ (that the folks who have said to Jesus ‘be merciful to me a sinner’ and placed their eternal trust in Him) they have been established and anointed by none other than the Creator of the Universe. Okay, so what? What does that even mean?
Established: to be recognized and accepted
Anoint: to confer a divine or holy purpose
So to amplify the verse you could say: “As Believer in Christ, the Person who recognizes and accepts you as well as gives you a divine and holy purpose is God Himself”. Wow. If that doesn’t do something for you, I don’t know what will.
Think It Over: How does it change your life knowing that God Himself establishes and anoints YOU? It’s more than a group thing talking about all Christians. It’s personal. He establishes YOU. He anoints YOU. Does your life reflect that awesome privilege?
