2 Thessalonians 3:3 (NKJV) But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
It’s a scary thought to face the evil in this world without protection and yet most do. Christians however, do not. The Lord protects them.
That doesn’t mean they get to escape the bad things in life whether physical or emotional… it means that no matter what happens, the Lord has our back. He’s watching over us. No matter how bad things get, we are still destined to a home in Heaven and everything will work out for our good even if we don’t understand it or see it. The Lord will never let us endure something He does not give us the strength to endure. We will never face evil temptation without a way of escape.
It’s a tremendous joy to know Jesus is our bodyguard. It’s a tremendous tragedy to think of the vast majority of humanity who have rejected His protection and love.
Think It Over: God doesn’t promise to keep us from evil but He does promise to protect us no matter what. “Protection” is hope, joy, peace, blessing and eternal perspective no matter what life throws at us. Have thanked the Lord for protecting you?
