2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV) The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

God keeps His promises. On His timetable.  Sometimes we mistake His timing for a lack of attention, or a “no” answer when really it is our own impatience at work.

First we need to make sure there is no sin that is hindering our prayers. And, we need to pray according to God’s will for our life. We need to determine to trust His answer even if it doesn’t fit what we want or understand.

Past that, we simply adjust to God’s timing. If God has made a clear promise in Scripture, then have no doubt that He will be faithful… just know that God will fulfill His Word in HIS best timing, not yours.

Think It Over: We think a few hours or days is long wait. We think years of waiting is God not paying attention or caring. God is eternal.  A MILLION years is a blink of an eye to Him. Learn to be aware of and trust God’s timeframe, not yours.
