Philippians 2:13 (NKJV) for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
What a war we fight inside. As Christians, God lives in us but our old sin-cursed flesh fights Him tooth and nail for control. If we would simply to submit to Him in all things, He would accomplish both His will and pleasure in our lives.
We think “I can’t help myself” … but you can because God is living in you. We think “I have no clue what God wants me to do” but you should because God is at work in you.
We claim not to know God’s will but there is no reason to. God dwells in you to fulfill His will. We struggle with understanding what will truly bring joy and purpose in this life but you don’t have to. It is God’s pleasure to fill you with joy and purpose.
