“Scriptural Armor” is a series of short devotionals that contain nothing but Bible verses I’ve paraphrased in my own words on a given topic. My goal is to present straight Biblical thought on an relevant Christian subject without commentary. Be sure to look up the verses provided at the end and read from God’s Word directly. Nothing I paraphrase can ever be as good as Scripture. My only goal is to point you to God’s Word ~ Brent

A happy, contented heart is like taking a really effective medicine when you are sick.
Don’t talk like a discontented person. Learn to be content with exactly what God has given you right now.
- Yes, there is much you could be discontented about if you want but making a choice to be content is a source of continual satisfaction.
- A contented heart brings joy to life but discontent will rot you from the inside out.
- Never envy what sinners have; respect what God is doing in your life.
Someday soon there will be nothing to ever rob us of contentment again. But for now, godliness and contentment are a treasure and a great reward. Choose to be content.
